Condor Builders recently completed an extensive siding project where we uncovered significant water damage. This required us to go beyond just replacing the siding and address several critical issues to ensure the home’s long-term durability.
Project Details:
- Framing Repair: Upon removing the old siding, we discovered extensive water damage that had compromised the framing. We carefully repaired the affected areas to restore the structural integrity of the home.
- Insulation Replacement: We replaced the insulation to improve energy efficiency and ensure the home is better protected against temperature fluctuations and moisture.
- Window Installation: All new windows were installed, with proper flashing and sealing to prevent future water infiltration.
- Waterproofing: We applied new plywood and Tyvek to protect the frame from moisture, creating a strong barrier against water damage.
Siding Installation: Finally, we installed Hardie Board siding and trim, providing a durable, weather-resistant exterior with a clean, polished appearance.
